The Home Computer Course was a 24-part magazine published in 1983-4 by Orbis.  It contains articles on a variety of computing topics such as hardware and software, buying guides, gaming and computing history.  It was intended as a complete guide to computing for a beginner, as evidenced by its subtitle, 'Mastering Your Home Computer in 24 weeks.'  The magazine was succeded by The Home Computer Advanced Course, which ran for a further 96 issues.

This magazine is the first and second issue of The Home Computer Course.  They were published together to encourage sales of the new magazine.  It is kept in an original Home Computer Course binder along with the rest of issues 1-12, and we also have issues 13-24, completing the set.  The front cover has been removed, and the picture supplied here is taken from another copy in our collection.
