Power: 3V DC using 2 x AA size batteries.  It accepts an adapter/charger (3V DC 0.5W EA-17E) through a socket (centre negative) on the top side to the far left.  It recommends that you use rechargeable batteries EA-18B.  The on/off switch is on the left hand side in line with the Sharp logo and sits within its own recess.

Case: The base is a “u-shaped” smooth white plastic whilst the front section is matt dark brown plastic.  The green plastic display filter sits flat and slightly proud.  It gives a bright image and is surrounded by a large metallic gold panel.  The panel is printed black and red with designer lines, brand and model number.  The keys are squishy with a soft click and work well to this day.  

Made in Korea.
Display: 8 digit green VFD with a ninth digit for negative, error and memory indicators.
Features: Standard four functions with percentages, square root and four-function memory.

Manufacturer: Sharp Corporation, made in Korea, serial number 78042745 is on a sticker inside the battery compartment.
