For Use With the ISIS Operating System.

Version 3

CORAL 66 is a general purpose programming language based on Algol 60. It was designed at RRE Malvern in 1966 for use in real-time applications. It is used as a British inter-service standard for military programming and is formally defined in the British Standard CORAL 66 Specification BS 5905. CORAL 66 is also widely used for civil purposes and has been supported by the Department of Industry.

This guide describes the ISIS version of the RCC80 CORAL 66 compiler. RCC80 is an implementation of CORAL 66 making the language available for a wide variety of applications of Intel 8080, Intel 8085 and Zilog Z80 microprocessors. Although the development software requires a host computer with a disk operating system and sufficient read-write memory, a generated CORAL 66 application program may run in a similar configuration or in a dedicated processor, and assumes no particular supporting software or peripherals.
