This device sits between a computer and a printer, capturing data as it is printed. Cachebox stores the data in memory, leaving you free to use your computer while it prints your document. Lengthy documents can also be stored in Cachebox until you're ready to print them and, with the multi-copy facility, you can make as many copies as you like.

The Cachebox came in two sizes, 256K or 512K, allowing you to print 200 or 400 A4 pages. It also came in three configurations - parallel input/output, serial input/output, and parallel or serial input or output. The example in our collection is a 512K Parallel input/output version.
