Beagle Bros was an American software company that specialized in creating personal computing products, primarily for the Apple II family of computers.

Apple Mechanic allowed users to create their own shape tables (an early form of sprites) to create their own games, using a Shape Editor/Font Editor and Shape Analyzer.

Shape tables in Apple II ROMs allow manipulation of small images encoded as a series of vectors. Software routines in the ROM draw an image/shape in high-resolution graphics with scaling and rotation. Shape tables were supported via Applesoft BASIC and from machine code in the "Programmer's Aid" package.

Applesoft's high-res graphics were not optimized for speed, so shape tables were not usually used for performance-critical software such as games. They were typically written in assembly language and used pre-shifted bitmap shapes. Beagle Bros offered a number of fonts in Font Mechanic as Applesoft shape tables.
