The AS-100 was a 16-bit professional computer based on the Intel 8088 CPU.
It had 128 KB of RAM. and although the AS-100 ran MS-DOS it was not fully IBM PC Compatible, it could also run CP/m-86.

There were several options for additional drives, including one or two 5 inch drives, or one to four 8 inch drives, and an 8MB hard drive, these were very flexible in what could be used. The user could have two 5.25 drives and two 8 Inch drives and a hard drive, or four 8 inch drives and a HDD.

The machine could be shipped with either a monochrome or colour monitor, both with 30CM screens, software created for the machine included titles such as Canobrain, or more conventional software such as Wordstar, program language packages such as Fortran, and Cobol could be purchased.

There was an internal speaker for sound.
