The Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2B was an Amstrad-produced ZX Spectrum housed in a black Spectrum +2 case, the main difference between the +2A and B is a  change of manufacturing base from Taiwan to China.

Internet folklore often has it that all +2A machines have a sound fault due to them supposedly using +3 motherboards, but almost all use an entirely different board (270833) which has the fault corrected. It is actually very rare to find a +2A machine with a sound fault, leading people to try and seek out this much rarer +2B needlessly, thought by many mistakenly to be the only model with the sound fix.

Another difference between the +2A and B is a new issue of motherboard (Issue 4), and the removal of the external tape socket.
