The official Sega Control stick is designed for right handed control, instead of the typical left handed set-up.

The Control Stick functions exactly like a standard Sega Master System control pad but attempts to give users a greater sense of control over on-screen characters. It is however, not so good that require precise movements.

Some versions of the Control Stick freely advertised its compatibility with other home computers of the time, such as the Commodore VIC-20, Commodore 64, Atari 400, Atari 800 and the Atari 2600. Most Sega Master System controllers will function this way with various degrees of success due to the systems sharing the same type of DE-9 control port.

The Control Stick was released in 1987.
