The Archimedes Filtered Sound Output card is suitable for Archimedes (A300, A400 & A400/1) and A5000. The internal sound on the Archimedes (and A5000) was quite good, but if the headphone socket was connected to an external hi-fi system then all sorts of interference becomes apparent. The card is designed to fit on the internal sound header plug on the motherboard and generate a clean audio output free from interference.
