"This manual describes WORDCOM, an instructional programming language for use in data processing courses. It includes specifications for each of the WORDCOM instructions, some examples and problems, and operating procedures for execution of WORDCOM programs on Honeywell Series 200 computers. Through WORDCOM, educational institutions can use their Series 200 computers to teach fundamental computing principles. Students can write workable programs in the time allotted, learn how symbolic languages simplify the task of programming, and gain insights into the way a computer works".
