On 26th August 2008, the computer virus W32.Gammima.AG was detected on two laptops onboard the International Space Station, orbiting 215 miles above Earth. At the time, the ISS carried around 50 computers.

The W32.Gammima.AG virus attempts to steal login information for computer games. NASA spokesperson Kelly Humphries said that the virus was stopped with virus protection software and posed no threat to ISS systems or operations.
