Silicon Graphics Indigo Medallions

A series of five medallions mounted in a cardboard box. These are badges to be affixed to an SGI Indigo computer to indicate when the machine has been upgraded.

The five badges in this box do not all appear to be the exact ones that would have originally been packaged in the box, as indicated by the silhouettes printed behind them. Rather, it likely holds those that have been replaced when upgrading a machine.

The badges present are: XS 4000, Entry 4000, XS24 4000, Elan 4000, and Server 4000.

Despite the fact that some of the medallion designs allow them to slot together left and right, the back of the box features the following warning: Caution: Attach only one medallion to your Indigo. More than one medallion may prevent proper air flow through the system and could cause system failure.
