The Sinclair Slimline, which was released in 1963, was the first radio produced by Sinclair Radionics. This micro-alloy transistor radio was sold only in kit form, which cost 49 shillings and sixpence. The radio is hand-sized, measuring only 2 3/4" x 1 5/8" x 5/8" (69.85mm x 41.275mm x 15.875mm). You could only listen to the radio through a crystal earpiece that was provided with the radio.
