This edition applies to Release 1.1 ofVS FORTRAN Version 2, Licensed Progr's
5668-805 and 5668-806, and to any subsequent releases until otherwise indicated in new
editions or technical newsletters.
Thechanges for this edition aresummarized under "Summary ofChanges" following
the preface ("About This Book"). Specific changes are indicated by a vertical barto
theleft of the change. These bars will bedeleted at any subsequent republication of the
page affected. Editorial changes that have notechnical significance are notnoted.
This manual is designed for system programmers and planners who supervise the
generation and maintenance of an organization's operating system. It contains
mformation about installing VS FORTRAN Version 2 and is to be used in
conjunction with the VS FORTRAN Version 2 Program Directory (hereafter
referred to as the "program directory") that applies to your system.
This manual is organized to give you information for installing and customizing
under MVS in one section, and similarinformation for VM in a separate section.
We recommend that you read the entire book once (except those chapters that
cover the operating system you are not using) before attempting to actually
perform any of the steps described.
