This major revision replaces SC30-3447-2. This edition appiles to the foliowing IBM licensed programs;
• Advanced Communications Function for Network Controi Program Version 5 (program number
5668-738) Releases 1, 2, 2.1, 3, 3.1, and 4.
• Advanced Communications Function for System Support Programs Version 3 for MVS (program number
5665-338), for VM (program number 5664-289), and for VSE (program number 5666-322): Releases 3
(MVS only), 4, 4.1, 5,5.1 (MVS only), and 6 (MVS and VM only).
• Emulation Program for IBM Communication Controllers (program number 5735-XXB) Releases 5, 6, 6.1,
7, and 9.

This book is intended to help you learn about defining resources to a Network
Control Program (NOP) or Emulation Program (EP). It contains a general
description of characteristics, functions, definition statements, and keywords used to
define resources to NOP and EP.
