This edition, as amended by technical newsletter SN20-9317, applies to Release 2 of VSPC,
Program Products 574U-XR5 (OS/VSl VSPC) and 574(V-XR6 (0S/VS2 MVS VSPC), and
to any subsequent releases unless otherwise indicated in new editions or technical
newsletters.

This nrigniial describes the VSPC general commands and the VSPC
capabilities they control; these commands and capabilities are those available
to the general user. With one exception, such users need not have prior data
processing experience; the exception is those users who expect to use the
VSPC batch processing capabilities.

VS Personal Computing (VSPC) provides interactive and batch processing
capabilities; the three program products run under OS/VSl (Program
Number 5740-XR5), OS/VS2 MVS (Program Number 5740-XR6), or
DOS/VS (Program Number 5746-XR3).
