The BBC version of the Ultimate classic game differs little from the Spectrum original, the graphics, are much the same, except totally monochrome, the sound is a little better, but there is no joystick control, or menu options, and also no way to redefine the key layout, which does make gameplay even more tricky, as the ones used are not very ergonomic.
Sabre man must be guided round a series of rooms filled with deadly traps and guards, to collect objects to be deposited into the Wizard's cauldron with the aim to cure him of a curse that turns him into a werewolf every night, if he does not cast the spell soon, the change will be permanent.
