This publication provides a comprehensive description of the hardware and software of the I.C.T. 1830 General Purpose Visual Display Unit.
The manual comprises three parts. Part 1 describes the hardware of the 1830 General Purpose Visual Display Unit, including various optional attachments and the techniques involved in their use. Part 2 is concerned with programming and gives a comprehensive description of the two software packages, the Graphical package and the Record Handling package, which carry out essential routine operations. Part 3 describes how the display is operated in conjunction with the keyboard and the light pen. Appendix 1 gives brief specifications of some mathematical subroutines that may be required to carry out standard mathematical calculations in the program, and Appendix 2 gives tables of Character Codes.
