Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

Paper Tape Collection (BCPL)

This is a collection of used paper tapes rhat were used by Richard Wakefield with BCPL

BCPL (Basic Combined Programming Language) is a procedural, imperative, and structured computerprogramming language designed by Martin Richards of the University of Cambridge in 1966.

We are extremely grateful to both Dawn and Kim Wakefield for the kind donation of the collection of their late father Richard Wakefield
