Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

Shigeru Miyamoto

Shigeru Miyamoto is the Japanese designer who created some of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed and most influential games and franchises of all time, such as: Donkey Kong, Mario, Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda. He is often reffered to as 'The father of modern video gaming'. He joined Nintendo in 1977 and designed their first ever video game: Donkey Kong.
