Arxe Systems Limited released a high density floppy disc interface for the Acorn Archimedes range, to allow the use of HD discs from the then new A5000 on earlier models. This interface was either sold on its own or with an integral SCSI controller. This example is the SCSI version.

A Filecore-filesystem was included (version 0.89), QuadFS, which could read/write quad-density floppies, compatible with A5000+ ADFS E+ discs.

A compatibility module allowed QuadFS to pretend to be ADFS to work around software which was hard-coded to require ADFS.

The Serial Port marketed this podule, and were responsible for the software.
