The Audio Dynamics DMI 50 is a dual MIDI interface for the Acorn A3000, 300, 400, 500, A5000 and Risc PC computers.

The Dual MIDI Interface provides a total of 32 MIDI channels across 2 independent ports. It is fully compatible with all Acorn RISC OS MIDI software and hardware, and is directly upgradable to the Audio Dynamics PowerWAVE/XG 16-bit wave table synthesiser. In additions, the DMI 50 can be further upgraded to incorporate a 16-bit sampler.

The example in our collection has the PowerWAVE 50XG 16-bit sound expansion system attached to the DMI 50. This Synthesiser provides 16 channels of high quality instruments which go beyond the General MIDI specification to provide 676 melodic voices and 21 drum voices as well as the ability to alter the extensive XG parameters and thus create new instruments and effects. The XG option comes with the ArmEdXG software to control the XG facilities.
