The Acorn Access Release 2 kit came with all the parts needed to add a Risc PC to an Acorn Access Network, including the AEH78 Ethernet Adapter card. As part of Acorn's Universal Network (AUN) portfolio, Acorn Access allowed easy networking to an exisiting Acorn Access network, or just to another computer which also has an Acorn Access card, giving the potential to access the hard disks of any other machine on the network, or printers connected to them.

The AEH78 network card is a rebadged i-cubed EtherLan 600 v2.
