Indie Game Development Workshop - 5th April

Description : Due to popular demand, the Centre for Computing History will be running another day of the exciting "Introduction To Unity 3D Game Development" workshop on Sunday 5th April 2015.
Your hosts Ben Tristem and Brice Fernandes are both avid gamers, and coding nuts. You'll create your very own game during the day, and gain the confidence to teach yourself game development.
Who is this for?
Anyone over about 10 who wants to make computer games. If you've never programmed before, we'll walk you through the basics. If you're an artist, we'll show you how to bring your assets alive in a game. If you're a coder, you'll learn how to transfer your skills to game development.
If you've always wanted to get into game development, or have a retro game you'd love to recreate, now's your chance!
Morning Session - 10am to 1pm
+ A demonstration of what's possible with Unity 3D.
+ Finding your way round the system.
+ Create your first simple game step-by-step. Afternoon Session - 2pm to 5pm
+ Share your game ideas.
+ Split into project groups and get started on them!
+ Where to find out more / what to do next.

This informative, practical and project-based workshop is ideal for both students and adults alike!
We expect this workshop to be extremely popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
The workshops cost £25 per person for the entire day course. This fee also includes admission to the museum.
The workshops will be held in our Hauser Studio. You will need to bring your own laptop with Unity installed which can be downloaded from the Unity website for free!
Please note, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
