The pack in game for the Nintendo Gameboy, the game was a major factor in the initial enormous success of the machine, it was a perfect fit, an addictive, pick up and play puzzle game that anyone could master the basics of in minutes.
The game requires the player to fit different shapes together that are constantly falling down the screen, to make complete rows that then disappear, more points are given for clearing more than one row, if the player completes 4 lines at once, then the maximum score can be achieved.
There are two distinct games in the pack, one where the pieces speed up after a certain amount of lines are cleared, or 40 lines, which requires the clearance of that amount of rows.
In both games, if unfinished rows build up and reach the top of the screen it is game over.
