Description :

Come and build yourself a cracking midi synthesizer module!

The miniAtmegatron is a small 8-bit kit synth. It comprises of a DIY kit shield, Arduino Uno and enclosure. We'll help you solder and assembled this amazing little synthesizer. If you’ve had soldering experience, great, but if not, don't worry, we'll show you how! The workshop price includes the printed circuit board, all the electronic components, a MIDI-hacked Arduino Uno and even the perspex enclosure. You'll walk away with a finished synthesizer to take home.

The miniAtmegatron has a built in patter generator so you can use it stand-alone or connect it via USB to your laptop and use it with your favourite digital audio workstation.

Whether you're an accomplished musician, DJ or dance music wannabe, come and dip your toes into the 8-bit audio ocean ... This is the workshop for you!

Atmegatron Synthesizer KitWe'll be turning our 80s Classroom into an Electronics Lab. We'll have soldering stations set-up and our in-house electronics expert will help you assemble, solder and test your synth ready to take home with you.

Build a Synth is a lively and unique workshop aimed at children aged from 12 upwards and adults. Under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We're really pleased to be able to announce for this special workshop we'll have Paul Soulsby of Soulsby Synths at the workshop. He is the brains behind the miniAtmegatron and will be on hand to help with the build and answer any questions you might have.

Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place.

Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your synthesizer works, careful assembly and soldering is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non working consoles due to poor assembly.

This workshop session is priced at £85.00 per participant and includes the cost of the kit and entry to the Centre!
