Things are tough right now ...

They're tough for everyone :( But when coronavirus hit here in the UK, the museum had to close its doors to the public, and we lost practically all our income overnight.

Please Donate Via Just GivingNo visitors, no workshops, no events, no school visits... no income. We know that things are tough for everyone right now, but if you can afford to help us through these tough times please donate what you can.

There's over 36,000 exhibits here! That should keep you occupied for a bit - get searching!

Retro Video Game Night - Friday 8th March 2019

Come and join us for our first awesome Retro Gaming Night of 2019!

6:30pm until 11pm

Ian's Tournament: Pac-Man VS. - back by popular demand!!

We'll also be doing a high-score extravaganza on a range of games and machines, such as Jetpac (Spectrum), Hopper (Electron) and Pac-man Collection (Atari 7800) Rampage (Master System) R-Type (PC Engine) Super Monkey Ball (Gamecube) Bubble Bobble (NES)

This will also be the beginning of our ongoing HALL OF FAME where we will keep the high scorer's records on our arcade machines rolling on to future events!

Arcades picked for this are: Donkey Kong, Ghost 'n' Goblins, Asteroids, Tempest and 1942. (Subject to machine reliability)

All our usual gaming displays will be on and we'll be getting loads of extra consoles and games out from our archive for you to play. Join us for a great night out and help support the work of the Centre!

We now have a fully licensed bar courtesy of Lord Conrad's Brewery

Please feel free on the night to order any food you want for delivery to the museum. We can recommend using Deliveroo!

All we kindly ask is that you use the tables provided in the foyer to eat and please use the napkins and handwash provided to keep things (and yourselves!) nice and tidy. Please do not eat food whilst playing games.

Spaces for this exciting gaming night are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place, although if you're lucky you *may* get in on the night. (tickets on the door will be £2 extra)
Due to the fact that we have a licensed bar and the adult nature of some games this is an over 18s event.

Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
