FEATURING:

Mega Ran (w/K-Murdock)

One of the most prolific and innovative rappers of the 21st Century,” -Phoenix New Times.
“Random’s proven he can excel in storytelling, punchlines, poignancy, freestyling and, well, pretty much any other way you can measure an MC.” – LA Weekly
The "Teacher/Rapper/Hero" Mega Ran was born Raheem Jarbo in Philadelphia, where he taught English for five years while moonlighting as a hip hop artist. Mega Ran combined his love for beats and rhymes with his passion for video game music and created "chip-hop," using the bleeps and bloops of classic retro games to innovate in the world of rap and hip-hop. Several years later he met K-Murdock, The "Sound Samurai" who shared a love for both cultures and subsequently leveled up his sound, which he refers to as "NeoSonic."
The two broke barriers in 2010 with their award-winning release "Forever Famicom," and have traveled the farthest reaches of the galaxy to entertain and educate. Mega Ran's releases have charted on Billboard, been in contention for GRAMMY nomination, and have topped charts all over the planet.

Since then he has created viral games, memes and mods that have taken over the internet with over 100 million total views.

.mpegasus

".mpegasus is rather partial to beeps. His sound is drawn from the 8-bit era of home computers like the Spectrum and C64, mixed with heavy bass and crunchy drums to leave each track existing in a temporal limbo between the past and the future. It sounds weird, is what I’m getting at. Melody reigns supreme here, but more than ever you might find the ground a bit wobbly underfoot."

Automaton Subsystem

Automaton Subsystem makes live chiptune dub reggae using a NES, Gameboy and Commodore 64. You can expect to hear grooves, sample stabs, delay effects and plenty of bass.

Spaces for this exciting gaming night are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place, although if you're lucky you *may* get in on the night. (tickets on the door will be £2 extra)

This is an over 18s event.
