Learn to Code 80's Style - Saturday 28th July 2018
Come and join us for a workshop of coding, 1980's style!
The BBC Micro, familiar to an entire generation of UK children, inspired many of today's leading UK tech figures. It's still a great tool for teaching coding logic and computational thinking. In this workshop we'll be using its language, BBC BASIC, to create shapes, sounds, games and more.
This workshop is aimed at children aged ten and up and is ideal for children at the KS3 and KS4 levels. Please note that all under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The fee is £12 for workshop participants, whether an adult or a child. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry fee of £8.
Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the museum is permitted all day. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :)
