Spectrum 35 - 28 October 2017
Please note that this event is heavily booked. General visitors on the day are welcome, but be advised that there will be lots of Spectrum fans in the building!
2017 sees the 35th Anniversary of the release of the ZX Spectrum. We are the chosen venue to celebrate this iconic machine at an event led by the organisers of 2012's hugely successful Spectrum 30.
There will be interesting talks, exhibitions, and the ZX Fair with new and old hard and software to buy.
The timetable for the day is as follows:
10.00am - Centre opens to the public
10.30am - Hey Hey 16k: Gig from MJ Hibbet (Main Room)
2.00pm - Software preservation: Steven Goodwin (Classroom)
3.00pm - The Oliver Twins Story (Dizzy talk): Philip Oliver and Andew Oliver (Classroom)
4.00pm - The Sinclair Story: Urs König (Classroom)
5.00pm - 35 years re-connected with football manager: Video from Kevin Toms (Classroom)
5.45pm - Spectrum Next Presentation, Production stages: Rick Dickinson (Stage)
6.15pm - Spectrum Next Q&A: Rick Dickinson, Jim Bageley (Stage)
7.00pm - New and Classic Software Q/A Jonathan Cauldwell, Jarrod Bentley, Jim Bagley (Stage)
7.30pm - Competition results / Price draw (Stage)
8.00pm - Centre closes to the public
Admission to the day's events is included in your standard museum entry ticket: £8 for adults, £6 for children, £7 for concessions/students and £24 for a family of two adults and two children.
