**FULLY BOOKED** Get Fit with the Micro:bit - 23 August 2017
Description : Who needs an expensive fitness gadget? In this activity we'll be turning the BBC Micro:bit into a personal trainer. Count the number of steps you've taken or design your exercise routine using this tiny device. You could also use it as a simple stopwatch to track your speediest laps. Come and find out how you can code this device to become your fitness assistant! You don't need to worry about bringing anything - we'll provide all the kit. This workshop is aimed at children aged ten and up and is ideal for children at the KS3 and KS4 levels. Please note that all under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The fee is £12 for workshop participants, whether an adult or a child. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry fee of £8.
Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Date: 23 August 2017
Time : 2pm-3:30pm
Spaces for these exciting hands-on workshops are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
