Released on 27th August 2007, costing £299.99, the Xbox Elite came in a matte black case, with matching headset and controller, and a 120GB hard drive pre installed, it became the top of the range console, with the ordinary grey machine with it's smaller hard drive the cheaper option, also with the release of the Elite, the arcade version of the machine was phased out.
