Electronics Lab - Build a Digital Alarm Clock - Wednesday 4th April 2018
Description : Come and build yourself a Digital Alarm Clock! On 4 April we'll be turning our Hauser Studio into an Electronics Lab. We'll have soldering stations set-up and our in-house electronics expert will help you assemble, solder and test your Alarm Clock kit ready to take home with you. This is a simple kit and is ideal as a starting project for budding electronics engineers or anyone interested in learning to solder!
We'll provide all the components and tools you need. Just come along and enjoy the creativity of making your own electronic circuit. No electronics experience is required, although you will need a steady hand. This is a lively workshop aimed at children aged from eight upwards. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please note that there must be at least one adult with two children. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place. Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your Digital Clock works, careful assembly and soldering is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non working clocks due to poor assembly. This workshop session is priced at £26.00 per participant and includes the cost of all components and entry to the museum. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry rate of £8. Please note that the kit requires four AA batteries to work. We will have batteries available to test your kit but these are not included in the price of the workshop. Date : 4 April 2018 Workshop Duration : Approx. 2hrs Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
