Electronics Lab: Build a Magic Radio - Wednesday 11th April 2018
Description : Everybody knows how electric stuff works. You put in the batteries or plug it into the mains and off it goes. But supposing you could make a radio which didn't need electricity. No batteries, no mains power. That would have to be magic, right? Come along to our workshop and find out by building one yourself! No electronics experience is required although you will need a steady hand to assemble the components and use our tools. This is a great workshop aimed at children aged from 10 upwards. All under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. This workshop session is priced at £26 per participant and includes the cost of the kit and entry to the museum! Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry rate of £8. Date : 11 April 2018 Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your Magic Radio works, careful assembly and soldering is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non working radios due to poor assembly. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
