Strategy game where the player is an Emperor trying to gain a hundred squares of territory, from a large grid representing the Mediterranean, extra legions are awarded for every 5 squares conquered, the computer controls the Barbarian attacks and counters.

Extra features are plague attacks that wipe out entire legions, or if the Emperor is captured or killed, or if a General becomes too powerful.
