Build Your Own Bike Sensor - Tuesday 14th August 2018
Description :
Do you wonder what’s in the air you breathe when you cycle? In this workshop, you will build a device that measures air pollution. We will mount the device on your bike and you will be able to collect and look at data the same afternoon. Building the device will include some soldering. Build your own Bike Sensor is a lively and unique workshop aimed at children aged from ten upwards. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The workshop will run from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with a break for afternoon tea and the opportunity to go out on your bike to try the sensor. The workshop costs £12 for the participants and £8 for the accompanying adults. If you have already booked an accompanying adult ticket for another event on this day, you do not need to book another one for this event. Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents.
Date: 14 August 2018 Time: 1.30 - 4.30 pm Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
