Discovering e textiles 14 March 2019 (Cambridge Science Festival)
Description : This workshop is now fully booked. Wearable technology is being talked about a lot right now. With the help of some basic electronic components like LEDs and switches, and some sewing skills you can add function, fashion and fun to the clothes, soft toys or something else you regularly use. Come and find out what you can create! The session is aimed at children aged 11+ and is ideal for late Key Stage 2 and early Key Stage 3 students. Please note that all under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The fee is £12 for workshop participants, whether an adult or a child. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry fee of £8. Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the museum is permitted all day. The museum is normally open from 10 am to 5 pm. However, on this day, the museum will be open until the end of the event. Date : 14 March 2019 Time : 4.00pm - 6.00pm Places are limited. Tickets must be booked in advance. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
