Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

Microsoft moves from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Bellevue, Washington

On 1st January 1979, the company moved from New Mexico to a new home in Bellevue, Washington. They moved because they had trouble attracting top programmers to Albuquerque. 

11 of Microsoft's 13 employees gathered in 1978 for this photograph just before the company moved to Washington.
