Christmas Quiz Night 2019 - 30th November
It's time for Quiz 2.0!
Do you like answering questions? Do you like Lord Conrad's beer? Do you like winning prizes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should come to our second Quiz Night on Saturday, the 30th November.
It's like a pub quiz - with a twist!
It's like your typical pub quiz - there'll be rounds of questions on music, films, sports and general trivia - but each round will have a retro twist.
Do I need to be an expert on vintage computers?
No - we want to make this a quiz for everyone! But a little knowledge of computers, computer gaming and 80s and 90s pop culture and trivia will definitely help.
New features in Quiz 2.0
For Quiz 2.0 we will have a faster, more accurate scoring system (we promise not to miss any teams out!). There will be no really tricky questions about dragons. There might be questions about things that happened in the 21st century. Plus many more exciting features - you'll have to come to find out exactly what!
Why not come as a team?
Pub quizzes are a team sport - so why not get a group of friends or colleagues from work together? Why not show that your Cambridge IT company is better than other Cambridge IT companies? Or that Customer Support could beat Sales and Marketing any day? Also ... why not get your boss to pay for the ticket?
Ideally teams will be five or six people - and if you book a team ticket in advance, we'll give you a discount too! Advance team tickets will be just £36.
But don't worry if you can't get a team together - buy an individual ticket now (or on the door - but beware, we might sell out!) and we'll put you together with like minded people on the night to form a team.
If you're planning on bringing a team, please drop me a line - email@example.com - so we can be sure of numbers.
Points mean Prizes!
We don't want anyone to go away empty handed. There'll be a prize for the overall winning team, the team that gave the geekiest answers and there'll also be a raffle to make sure everyone stands the chance to get a prize (and to raise money - don't forget to buy lots of tickets!).
Doors and bar will open at 7pm and the Quiz should start promptly at 7.30pm.
Please note that due to the presence of the bar, this is event is for those aged 18+ only.
Oh, and to get you in the mood - can anyone name the nine well known computer logos we've cut up for our Quiz Night picture? Drop us a line and we'll tell you if you're right! - firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum!
