Christmas Game Coding Workshop - Sunday 22nd December 2019
Description : It has never been easier to get into game development, and our Christmas Game Coding Workshop will give you an introduction into making a simple game using free software and the LUA programming language. While we assemble our game we will be learning about the fundamentals of game development: variables, loops, functions, game states, sprites and more. At the end of the session you will have your very own game to take away and play at home. No previous coding experience is necessary, just an interest in games and some Christmas cheer! This is a great workshop aimed at children aged from ten upwards. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place.
The fee is £15 per participant in this workshop. For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £9. Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am to 5pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop.
Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
