Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

MITS Altair launched on the cover of Popular Electronics magazine

In late 1974, issue 'January 1975' of Popular Electronics Magazine featured the MITS Altair computer on the front launching, arguably, the first personal computer. It ran on the Intel 8080 micro-processor and was developed by Ed Roberts.
