Hewlett Packard release the HP 110 Portable / Laptop
May 1984 Hewlett-Packard introduces the HP 110 laptop. Weighting in at a hefty 8.5lb, the computer features 272KB of RAM, an LCD display complete with MS-DOS 2.11 operating system. The laptop came complete with the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet, MemoMaker word processor and Infocom’s Zork game built in to the ROM. The 'laptop' had an 80 column by 16 line LCD that could be tilted to adjust the viewing angle.
