Hewlett-Packard releases the HP 110 portable laptop

Weighing 8.5lb, or nearly 4kg, the computer features a 480 x 128 pixel monochrome LCD display capable of displaying 16 lines of 80 character text. The screen could be tilted to adjust the viewing angle. The HP 110 was based around a Harris 80C86 processor running at 5.33MHz with 272KB of RAM.

The laptop came with software including the MS-DOS 2.11 operating system, Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet, MemoMaker word processor, and Infocom’s Zork game all stored in ROM.
