Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft for Windows, macOS, comprising calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Microsoft Excel 2.2 was the first release for Apple Macintosh, when it was ported to Windows 2.x. Note: There was no 2.0 or 2.1 for the Macintosh.
It was headlined as a "Complete Spreadsheet with Business Graphics and Database", automated business tools for projections, calculations, data analysis, decision-making, and reporting. Comprising: Worksheets; Charts; Databases; Macros.
