Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore found Intel Corporation

On July 18, 1968 Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore incorporated their new semiconductor company. On the initial paperwork the company was called NM Electronics, but by August 1968 the name had become Intel Corporation.

Intel pioneered new technologies in the areas of computer memory, integrated circuits and microprocessor design.
