Commodore introduces the PET 2001

13th January 1977 Commodore International shows the Commodore PET 2001 computer for the first time at the Winter Consumer Electronics Show, held in Chicago on the 13th to the 15th of January 1977. The PET was one of the biggest selling computers of the time, when computers were aimed at both the home and business market. The PET includes a MOS Technology 6502 processor, 4kB RAM, and a built-in monitor and cassette tape drive. The keyboard on the PET 2001 model was a chiclet keyboard, much like a supermarket till.
