We hate 2020!

Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

Rocksteady Studios

Founded in 2004, Rocksteady are a UK games studio based in London. Two ex employees of Argonaut Software, Jamie Walker and Sefton hill. Other talent from Argonaut were to join them in the new venture.

SCi (later renamed Eidos) were a founding investor in the studio, holding just over a quarter of the company's shares.

After a couple of years development, the companies first release was Urban Chaos: Riot Response, which was published by Eidos for the PS2 and Xbox.

Eidos chose Rocksteady to produce a Batman game in 2007 after obtaining the rights, the company started work on Batman Arkham Asylum. The title was released in 2009 to much critical and commercial success, the game won a BAFTA for it's gameplay, along with a string of other industry awards,leading to Warner Bros acquiring a substantial but undisclosed stake in Rocksteady.

Eidos initially retained their shares, though the company is now wholly owned by Warner.

Rocksteady have produced Batman Arkham City, Batman Arkham Knight and Batman VR, they are currently working on a Suicide Squad game due for release in 2022.
