Virtual Computing History Tour - Generations - Wednesday 25th November 2020
Description : Join Jason for a LIVE Computing History virtual tour! How have computers become so small, so fast, so cheap, so ubiquitous and so much a part of our everyday life? This live tour of our exhibition will use the valve, the transistor, the integrated circuit and the microprocessor as the vehicles to answer these questions and tell you the overarching and astounding story of computing. You will be led through the extraordinary advance in technology over 50 years of computing history and discover how computers have not only accelerated our lives, but radically transformed them. The tour starts at 6:30pm GMT, and will last around 90 minutes. There will be time to ask questions at the end. This is not a technical tour, it is for everyone, and looks at how computers have developed, and changed our lives. Suitable for all ages, recommended for those over 7.
