This interface attaches to the rear of the Casio PV-7 computer, and gives the machine some welcome new capabilities.

Firstly there is another 8K of RAM, bringing the total up to 16k, which means the machine can load some of the MSX library. There is a parallel printer port on the side, and two cartridge slots on the top. They are fully to MSX standard, which the one on the computer is not.

The expansion also does away with the external power supply, and the inbuilt one in the interface powers both computer and expansion.

The KB-7 is somewhat essential to the PV-7, as before the machine was too limited to be fully MSX compatible.

After a few months on market, Casio released the PV-16 which basically combined the PV-7 and the KB-7 into one computer.
