Description :

In this workshop, we will be connecting motors and sensors to an Arduino and create the very basics of a roaming robot. Can you program it to navigate the room cleverly?

This workshop is aimed at children aged 12+ and is ideal for children at the upper KS3 and KS4 levels.

Please note that this is a programming workshop and the kit will be yours to use for the duration for the workshop only.

The fee is £22 per participant in this workshop. For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £10.

Time: 11am-2pm

This workshop will start at 11am promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.


We are still maintaining some Covid precautions to protect our staff & visitors.
Hand sanitisers are available throughout the museum. Please wash
your hands regularly when using the machines.


Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am.

Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :)

Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place.

Cancellations: Due to the limited number of places available for this event, we are unable to refund tickets when cancelled less than 7 days before the event.
